Dungeons & Basement
The dungeons of Hogwarts Castle are located beneath Hogwarts, and it is colder there than in the main castle. The Potions classroom is located in the dungeons, as is the entrance to the Slytherin common room and dormitories. Within the basement lies the entrance to the Hufflepuff common room and dormitories, as well as the kitchens.

Ground Floor
Certainly there are plenty of locations to note on the ground floor, but none more important than the Great Hall itself. The Great Hall is home to many events and gatherings, but also the very place our dear students take their meals and do much of their socializing . Also found on the ground floor are the Entrance Hall, the Staff Room, and the Transfiguration department.

First Floor
Whether you are on your way to the Hospital Wing for a pick-me-up potion, or heading off to the next dull lecture brought to you by Professor Binns, the first floor is where you want to be. Also found here would be Professor McGonagall’s office and various other classrooms and storerooms, including the Advanced Arithmancy classroom, the dueling classrooms, and the detention chamber.

Second Floor
Ladies who need to use the lavatory should not come to the one on the second floor, because it is historically out of order, thanks be to Moaning Myrtle who just will not leave that S-Bend. If you do happen to enter it, be prepared to hear a lot of agonizing from Moaning Myrtle herself. Also found on the second floor is the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor’s office.

Third Floor
The Trophy Room holds some of Hogwarts’ greatest accomplishments for all future generations to behold, especially those troublemakers who get ‘polishing duties’ as a detention. Also there on the third floor happens to be the Charms Classroom as well as the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom… take care not to get the two mixed up!

Fourth Floor
The Library can be accessed on the Fourth Floor of the castle, as well as a study area for private studies where you can’t be bothered by the usual traffic that the Library might house. There’s also the lavatories on the Fourth Floor, and the Fourth Floor balcony gives a good view of the Courtyard below.

Fifth Floor
If you’ve got the right password, you can access the most amazing bathroom experience that Hogwarts can offer: the Prefects’ bathroom. However, if you don’t know what you’re missing out on, don’t worry about it. It will only hurt more. Classrooms are also found on the fifth floor, including the music and art classrooms and the Muggle Studies showroom.

Sixth Floor
The Sixth Floor is perhaps the most ambiguous of floors, as there is not much to do there. There are a few abandoned classrooms and disused bathrooms, and the East Wing is also located here. Really, though, the Sixth Floor mostly serves as an inbetween … going from the fifth floor to the sixth, though certain marauders have used the secluded rooms for their own purposes in the past.

Seventh Floor
Possibly the most mind-boggling room in Hogwarts is the Room of Requirement, which can be accessed on the Seventh Floor. Also found on the Seventh floor is Professor Flitwick’s office, and the Divination Professor’s office and workspace. The Fat Lady’s corridor is also found on the Seventh Floor, as well as the Arithmancy classroom and other classrooms.

The Towers
The towers are easily the most captivating of all the features of the Hogwarts castle, rising high into the sky and jutting upward like spears. There are several towers, the most important being the Gryffindor Tower, the Ravenclaw Tower, the Headmaster’s Tower (which is at the top of the Grand Staircase Tower), the North Tower, and the Astronomy Tower.

The Grounds
Every student knows exactly what’s on the grounds, because that is where they happen to be when the weather is fair enough. You can find the Gamekeeper’s Hut, the Lake, the Quidditch Pitch, the Herbology Greenhouses, the training grounds, and most formidable, the Forbidden Forest.

Hogsmeade
Hogsmeade Village, or simply called Hogsmeade is the only all-wizarding village in Britain. It was founded by Hengist of Woodcroft. Students may sometimes come on weekend trips, but only third year students and above with guardian permission are allowed to visit[1]. Mainly, students frequent the High Street in the village which contains the named specialty shops and pubs such as Zonko's Joke Shop and Honeydukes.

Diagon Alley
Diagon Alley is a cobbled wizarding alley and shopping area located in London, England behind a pub called the Leaky Cauldron. Inside the alley is an assortment of restaurants, shops, and other sights. All items on the Hogwarts supply list can be bought at Diagon Alley. The alley is completely hidden from the Muggle world which is right outside of its boundaries. It is very large in area and essentially the centre of wizarding London.

King's Cross Station
King's Cross Station is considered one of the main train stations to serve London, England. Students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry take the scarlet steam engine named the Hogwarts Express to Hogwarts from Platform 9¾ on 1 September at 11 AM sharp. It also serves as a major intercity and commuter rail hub for Muggles going to North London or Yorkshire and the North East and Scotland.
